Opening the door to support healthy, active lifestylesCommunity Use of Schools is an initiative that supports access to school space outside of school hours for not-for-profit community groups.
It is the policy of the Lakehead District School Board to make available to the community the Board’s school buildings, facilities and grounds provided use does not conflict with regular school use and is economically feasible.
For the detailed policy description, refer to Lakehead District School Board Policy and Procedures 8011.
Interested user groups may contact individual schools to obtain available dates. Groups are required to complete an “Application/Permit for Use of Schools” available through our Online Booking System or by contacting the Community Use Officer .

To book a facility you must sign up your group with the Lakehead District School Board through the On-Line Booking System and have an email address.
To register and obtain your username and password please follow the instructions on the On-Line Booking System page.
A Permit User Guide is available for download for your reference in completing the process and booking a facility.
