Ophea's DPA Kits
help all teachers effortlessly and
skillfully meet the Ontario Ministry of
Education's DPA mandate, while ensuring
quality activity that will benefit students
in all aspects of learning. It is a
curriculum expectation for every grade
within the physical fitness component of
Strand A - Active Living in the Ontario
Curriculum, Grades 1-8: Health and Physical
Education: A2.1 Daily physical activity (DPA):
participate in sustained moderate to
vigorous physical activity, with appropriate
warm-up and cool-down activities, to the
best of their ability for a minimum of
twenty minutes each day. |

Each division
binder (Primary, Junior, and Intermediate)
includes 90 Activity Cards, divided into
categories such as active games, tag games
and dance. They require little or no
equipment, are suitable for the classroom,
include safety considerations, and contain
activities integrated with math, science &
technology, the arts and language.
This resource is useful for both H&PE
teachers as well as classroom teachers and
can be done in a variety of spaces. |
