The Foods and Nutrition students at Sir Winston Churchill Collegiate and Vocational Institute are in a jam! Literally! On Wednesday, May 27 the students will have the unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of jam making with an expert. Pat Wielobob, owner and operator of H & P Jams and Jellies, will be working with the students to make strawberry and blueberry jam.
“We are very fortunate to have experiential learning opportunities like this through our relationships with community entrepreneurs,” says Lily Ciddio, Family Studies Teacher, Sir Winston Churchill Collegiate and Vocational Institute.
H & P Jams and Jellies is a local producer of jams and jellies and is sold at the Thunder Bay Country Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
