Jamie Smith Appointed Communications Supervisor For Lakehead Public Schools

THUNDER BAY, ON – Lakehead Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Smith as Communications Supervisor to help share and amplify the incredible stories happening within LPS classrooms, schools and across the board.
“Every day we have innovative learning and outstanding achievements happening in our classrooms and schools, and we are focused on sharing that to our students, parents, guardians, staff and the wider community through earned media, social media and other direct channels,” said Sherri-Lynne Pharand, Director of Education. “Jamie will be an excellent addition to our team, and we look forward to him supporting our efforts to broaden our communications to the communities we serve.”
“As a parent with two children in Lakehead Public Schools, I’m really looking forward to uplifting what’s happening within the schools and the Board,” added Jamie Smith.
Smith comes with almost 25 years’ experience, most recently working as the communications coordinator for Tbaytel.
Smith begins his new role March 25, 2024.
