McKellar Arbor Week Celebration

Grade 4 students learning with LRCA

Arbor Day

On Friday, May 20, Grade 4 students at McKellar Park Central Public School will learned about conservation, restoration and responsible management of Ontario’s water, land and natural habitats with a representative of the Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority (LRCA). The LRCA promotes Arbour Week as a reminder of responsible conservation.

“Through this program, our students are introduced to tree species, the importance of trees and why we need to plant trees for the benefit of people and wildlife,” says Eric Fredrickson, Principal of McKellar Park Central Public School. “Each registered class in the program was also given a tree to plant in their school yard.”
