Online Learning Resources

The following online resources are for students, parents/guardians and families to use and explore.

Office 365 Microsoft Office

Stock up for academic success with Microsoft Office Lakehead students and parents get a free complete version of Microsoft Office. Word, Excel, OneNote, OneDrive, and Powerpoint included. To get Microsoft Office, login at www.office.com and click on the “install office” button.

Username: The first 8 characters of the first name, followed by the first 8 characters of the last name, followed by two numbers for the month of birth, followed by two numbers for date of birth. (e.g. johndoe1225@ lakeheadschools.ca)

Password: For students in grades K-6, use the word “purple” followed by the month of birth (e.g. purple-12). For students in grades 7 -12, use the first initials of the first and last name, follow by a dash, followed by the last six numbers of the student number (e.g. jd-123456).

CEMC Courseware


CEMC mathematics courseware covers the concepts from Grade 7 to Grade 12. The feature-rich materials are available on a free, open and online teaching and learning platform.

An online math program that looks at how a student is solving problems to adjust accordingly and build a unique learning path for them.

The mathies.ca website houses Ontario Ministry of Education developed resources to support mathematics learning from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
