This little piggy isn’t headed to market, he or she is headed to Crestview Public School! The students at Crestview Public School had set a Terry Fox fundraising goal of $500. The students exceeded that goal by raising $927.43. And that can mean only one thing – bring on the pig!
“The students were promised that someone was going to kiss a pig, but they got to decide who. They voted with their fundraising dollars,” says Kimberly Veneziale, teacher, Crestview Public School. “Principal Zamojski and Ms. Colistro managed a tie, and will now have to hold up their end of the deal.”
On Thursday, October 12, representatives of Haywire Farms will be bringing a piglet to Crestview Public School to complete the deal at a special Terry Fox celebration.
