World Autism Awareness Day

Thursday, April 2 Hammarskjold High School students and staff are banding together to recognize the eighth annual World Autism Awareness Day. The school has asked everyone to wear blue and sign a puzzle piece that will be displayed in their halls to signify unity, awareness and support of autism.

“We are looking forward to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day and unite as a school to show our support and spread awareness throughout the community,” says Kathleen Andrews, Teacher at Hammarskjold High School.

In addition, The Hammarskjold Special Education classes are handing out free popcorn and information about the day and will be accepting donations that will all go towards the Autism Society.
