Big Canoe Learning

On Thursday Sept 20 Grade 7 students from the Kingsway Park Public School Learning Academy will have the opportunity to learn about importance of Indigenous bark canoe technology and the historical significance of the big canoes in Canada’s history. The students will be learning and working onsite with staff of the Fort William Historical Park.

“Our students have the unique opportunity to learn from true experts at the Park’s Canoe Shed,” says Darren Lentz, Principal of Kingsway Park Public School. “Following the more formal learning, the students will be able to gain hands on experience as they go out on the big canoes with Fort William Historical Park staff.”
