Celebrating Culture at Hammarskjold

It’s Taste of Culture Week at Hammarskjold High School this week! The Hammarskjold Multicultural Club, in partnership with the Thunder Bay Multicultural Association, is hosting the special Multicultural Week where students and staff will experience cultural activities and food from around the world. On Thursday, May 17, the Club will host a cultural food sale and a spicy noodle eating contest.
“We are very excited to provide this opportunity for our students and staff to get a true taste of culture during this very special week,” says Sari Johnston, English as Second Language Teacher. “Through our community partners we are also very pleased to provide a number of cultural activities throughout the week.”
In addition to the food experience, the Blue Sky Drumming Group and the Kaminari Wan Taiko Japanese drummers will be featured on Thursday, May 17.
