Churchill Students Conduct Undercover Mission

Students in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at Sir Winston Churchill Collegiate and Vocational Institute have conducted an “undercover” mission that truly demonstrates their good character. The students conducted a collection of new socks and underwear to assist the local Undercover Project to reach its goal of assisting over 2000 needy children in Thunder Bay who are going without these bare necessities. Many families rely on recycled clothing stores, but socks and underwear are often not available.

Led by IB student Lauren Barch and fellow IB students, a donation of new socks and underwear were made on Monday, December 15 at 11:15 a.m. at the Clothing Assistance Mission on May Street.

“The students felt that they needed to do their part and decided to assist with the goal set by the Undercover Project,” says Clarke Loney, International Baccalaureate Coordinator. “Our students feel a strong connection to our community and are always ready to support important efforts like the Undercover Project.”
