After discussions with the Thunder Bay Police Service, their investigation to this point does not indicate an imminent credible threat to the Woodcrest Public School community.
While the investigation remains ongoing, Lakehead Public Schools has decided to open the school and Woodcrest Child Care Centre on December 12, 2024. As a precautionary measure, members of the Thunder Bay Police will be on-site at the school tomorrow morning.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as the investigation continues. As always, the safety of the entire school community remains our top priority at this time.
