Good Employees: Tbaytel Helps Students in Need

As we prepare for a return to school unlike anything we’ve seen before, some students may find the transition back to learning a little easier thanks to a generous donation by Tbaytel’s Marketing and Communications department.

50 bags of school supplies were dropped off at the Lakehead Public Schools board office today as Tbaytel employees took part in their annual Good Employees program. Inside each bag, students will find all of the supplies they need for a successful return to learning. Items include pencil crayons, pencil sharpeners, notebooks, glue sticks, pencil cases, hand sanitizer, and even a locally made cloth face-mask from The Whole Nine Yards.

“We’re extremely grateful to have such amazing community partners looking out for our students,” said AJ Keene, Superintendent of Education, “a donation like this really levels the playing field for those students and families who may not have the resources to go out and purchase these items themselves.”

Tbaytel’s Good Employees Program, which is part of their larger Tbaytel for Good initiative, encourages teams within Tbaytel to search out grassroots organizations and groups in the community who are already doing good work. The goal is to engage Tbaytel employees and provide opportunities to give back in meaningful ways.
