Grateful at Hyde Park

Grateful for Gratitude at Hyde Park!

Students and staff at Hyde Park Public School participated in an assembly early this month and learned more about gratitude through reading the story ‘The Secret Stone’. Each classroom has participated in activities surrounding being thankful and showing gratitude.

On Thursday, October 8th, students will participate in a variety of learning centers (baking apple crisp, fall harvest soup, dancing, singing, art and storytelling) to prepare for the Fall Harvest Feast on Friday.

On Friday, October 9th, with the ‘Thank You’ song playing in the background, students will feast on all of their creations from Thursday’s centers, in a school community feast, held in the school gym. Throughout the month, students and families will also be adding gratitude leaves to the gratitude tree in the foyer of the school.
