Information on Moving Between Learning Modes (Secondary)

Requests for secondary students to move between learning modes must be made between

9:30AM March 29th and 4PM April 1st

April 19th is the first day of Quadmester Four and the third of 3 set dates where secondary students can move between remote and in-person learning.

Facilitating these moves is a complex process; please consider any moves carefully.

Should you choose to have your child move from their current mode of delivery follow these steps:

  1. Have a conversation with the school vice principal about the concerns you have with your child’s current situation and the reasons for wanting a change. Schools will work to provide solutions to concerns and barriers.
  2. If, after those discussions, you still feel a change is preferred, speak to your school vice principal directly to request the change. These requests must be made between 9:30AM March 29th and 4PM on April 1st . We are not able to honour requests made after April 1st due to the impact of staffing changes in the system.
  3. The vice principal will document the request, and during the week of April 6th new staffing and timetabling may occur.
  4. Your child will be contacted by their guidance counsellor to arrange the new timetable if any changes need to be made to your child’s existing timetable.
