“LIT”erally Lakehead Literacy Conference registration is OPEN! This is a free professional learning event open to all staff of Lakehead Public Schools. We are excited to announce our Keynote Speaker Dwayne Morgan, a two-time Canadian National Poetry Slam Champion.
The first 50 registrants will get a free copy of the book “The Knowledge Gap” by Natalie Wexler.
Lunch is provided and there will be conference swag for every participant as well as door prizes!
Keynote Speaker Dwayne Morgan began his career as a spoken word artist in 1993. In 1994, he founded Up From The Roots entertainment, to promote the positive artistic contributions of African Canadian and urban influenced artists. He will be speaking about creating belonging in our school spaces.
