Lakehead Public Schools is pleased to offer virtual Summer Learning Programs that will run from July 5th – 23rd. This no cost program is being offered to students in Grades 1 through 6. Students will experience three fun-filled weeks of learning and growing together.
These Summer Learning opportunities will be offered in a virtual format. The LPS Summer Learning Program involves three hours of live, on-line teaching and learning with a qualified teacher as well as independent work outside of this structured time. Your registration indicates your commitment to support your child in engaging each day with the teacher and completing other prepared activities during the three week camp (Monday through Friday).
We are excited to offer programming in both English and French this summer! Students enrolled in an LPS French Immersion program are eligible to attend summer camps that will focus on supporting French reading, writing, and oral fluency.

MATH, MINECRAFT, & ROBOTS! Grade 7/8 Coding & Robotics Summer Learning
Lakehead Public Schools is pleased to offer a FREE virtual Summer Learning Programs for Grade 7 and 8 students that will run from July 5th – 23rd. Students will experience three fun-filled weeks of learning and growing together, strengthening math skills through a focus on Minecraft, coding, and robotics. Resources for this program will be provided to students at no cost. This Summer Learning camp will be offered in a virtual format with the possibility of in-person learning opportunities as permitted by the provincial government and local health unit. The LPS Summer Learning Program involves three hours of live, on-line teaching and learning with a qualified teacher as well as independent work outside of this structured time.
