Order in the Court!

On Friday, April 5, Kingsway Park Public School students will get an opportunity to learn about the legal profession firsthand. The students will be participating in a mock trial at the Lakehead University Bora Laskin Faculty of Law through Level’s Indigenous Youth Outreach Program (IYOP).
IYOP has been engaging First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth across the country in justice education and mentorship since 2012. IYOP is rooted in building trust, acknowledging colonial legacies, honouring Indigenous practices and customs, and promoting a two-way knowledge exchange between volunteers and Indigenous youth.
Level is a Canadian charitable organization that levels barriers to justice by disrupting prejudice, building empathy and advancing human rights.
