A group of Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute students will be helping out some future Westgate students through the donation of funds and by helping out in a Grade 3 Physical Education Class. The Westgate students raised funds to support the Hyde Park Playground fund. Hyde Park Public School is a member of the Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute Family of Schools.
“This exceptional group of students raised over $300 through a bake sale before the holiday break and candy-grams at Halloween,” says Cynthia Kaplanis, Teacher, Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute. “As a way of giving back to our community, the students wanted to donate to the Hyde Park playground rebuilding fund and mentor the students in a physical education class.”
