It is with mixed emotions that we congratulate Superintendent Sherri-Lynne Pharand on her recent appointment as the Director of Education for the Keewatin Patricia District School Board.
Sherri-Lynne began her career at Lakehead Public Schools as a teacher in 1990. Since that time, she has been a Vice-Principal, a Principal, a Principal of Leadership Development, a Supervising Principal of Instructional Services, an Executive Lead for the MISA Thunder Bay Region Professional Network Centre and a Superintendent of Education.
In each and every position that she has held at Lakehead Public Schools, her priority has been the success of every student. Her work with the Aboriginal Education Advisory Committee (AEAC) has made our Board a provincial leader in the very important area of Indigenous Education. She has been recognized locally and provincially for her outstanding contributions to education and for her steadfast dedication to our students.
Sherri-Lynne will begin her new position at the Keewatin Patricia District School Board on January 21, 2020.
