Canada Wide Science Fair Success!!
Lakehead Public Schools students won a Gold and two Bronze medals at the 55th Canada-Wide Science Festival (CWSF) held at McGill University in Montreal from May 14 to 21.
Congratulations to Micah Windsor-Freeman, a Grade 8 student from Claude E. Garton Public School, who won a Junior Gold Medal with his project titled “Learning from Flint: Is NaOH the Solution to Pb-Contaminated Drinking Water?”
Micah won:

Kelly Yang, a Grade 11 student at Sir Winston Churchill Ccollegiate and Vocational Institute won a Bronze medal for her project “Let Cancer Kill Cancer: A novel therapeutic strategy”.
