Kakabeka Camo Day

While someone without an untrained eye may not see them, the students and staff of Kakabeka Falls District Public School will be celebrating an important part of Canadian heritage on Friday, September 16. Students and staff will be dressed in camouflage clothing to observe the Ontario Federation of Anglers and National Hunters (OFAH) National Hunting, Trapping and Fishing Heritage Day of September 17.

“Kakabeka Falls District Public School is a rural school and many of our students and their families participate in hunting, trapping and fishing for recreation and for their livelihood,” says Deanna Hannaford, Principal of Kakabeka Falls District Public School. “The day aims to build awareness for the conservation efforts that will allow for future generations to continue to fish, hunt and trap.”
