Lakehead Public Schools staff or their spouses on maternity or paternity leave and their recently born babies were the focus of a special day on Thursday, April 20. The staff and their babies were feted during the annual Celebrating Baby Day 2017 at the Victoria Park Training Centre.
“This is an opportunity for staff or their spouses to bring their babies in for a social gathering with fellow Lakehead Public Schools staff or spouses,” says Donica LeBlanc, Early Years Lead, Lakehead Public Schools. ‘It also provides an opportunity to learn more about the programs that we provide and the services that a number of our community partners provide.”
Community partners Best Start Thunder Bay and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit will be participating in Celebrating Baby Day 2017. Best Start will be conducting a singing circle with the babies and the Health Unit will be there to talk about healthy babies.
