Over and Out, Santa!

McKellar Park Central Public School students were pleased to welcome the members of 3 Squadron, 38 Signal Regiment as they bring Operation Santa to the school on Monday, December 4. The program provided the opportunity for JK to Grade 2 students to speak to Santa via a portable 2 way radio and a communications truck.
“This is always an exciting way to kick off the holiday season for our youngest students,” says Jo-Anne Giertuga, Principal of McKellar Park Central Public School. “We really do appreciate the efforts of our service people and all that they do for us every day. This is a wonderful annual tradition and as always we are pleased to welcome them into our school.”
Students have already sent their letters in to Santa and he will know exactly who they are and what they have asked for this year. The service members from 3 Squadron, 38 Signal Regiment act as Santa’s helpers.
