Setting Up Camp at Ogden
Students at Ogden Community Public School learned about a very difficult subject on Thursday, November 30 – childhood cancer. To make this effort easier, Ogden students were visited by the Camp Quality Puppet Program.
“Childhood cancer is a very important subject for students to know about, but at the same time, it can be a very difficult subject to discuss,” says Andrea Pugliese, Principal of Ogden Community Public School. “We are very fortunate to have the Camp Quality Puppet Program visit our school to work with our students in an age appropriate way.”
The Camp Quality Puppet Program is a community education outreach program that teaches kids about childhood cancer. Using four life-size puppets, the presentation helps children understand the importance of caring for and offering support to one another, especially when a child has a major illness such as cancer.
