Shopping for a Good Cause

Students from Nor’wester View Public School will be making their lists and checking them twice as they visit Westfort Foods on Thursday, December 8. The Nor’wester Grade 3 students and the Student Council will be visiting the Westfort grocery store to purchase food items for their school’s annual Christmas Cheer Fund donation with funds that they have raised.
“The Christmas Cheer Fund annual collection is a very big effort at our school and this activity is a good opportunity for the students to have some say into what we purchase and donate,” says Kristi Lees, Grade 3 Teacher at Nor’wester View Public School. “It is also a good learning opportunity as the students will have to make the healthy food shopping lists and learn how much food really costs.”
