“Special” Delivery for Westgate
On Tuesday March 29th, members of the Law Enforcement Torch Run will be delivering Floor Hockey Equipment to students in the Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute Special Need/Multi-Needs Classrooms.
“Our students are once again the thankful beneficiaries of the hard work and dedication by the participating members of the Law Enforcement Torch Run,” says David Workman, Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute Special Needs Teacher. “The equipment will be put to good use in the School Championship Regional Floor Hockey Qualifier on April 13 and will remain at the school to be used for many years to come.”
The Westgate staff and students would like to thank local Conservation Officer Keith Nutley who was integral in accessing funding from several sources and organizing the purchase of the equipment. Special thanks is also extended to Canadian Tire for their assistance in the purchase of the equipment.
The Officers will arrive at Westgate at 2:00 p.m. to deliver the equipment and to help size the hockey sticks. Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute staff and students will be present and available for comment.
