Traditional Gathering

Through an Ontario Ministry of Education Speak Up Grant, the Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute Aboriginal Student Committee will be hosting a Traditional Gathering on Tuesday, May 31. The gathering will feature a number of activities including Traditional Pow Wow dancing.
“The Aboriginal Student Committee worked very hard to first get the grant application approved and then to plan the event,” says Michelle Probizanski, Principal of Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute. “We are extremely proud of their efforts and we look forward to sharing their efforts with their families and our entire school community.”
Activities include:
- Traditional Powwow dancing
- Displays by community partners
- Aboriginal student art showcase
- Demonstrations of award winning student-strengths
