Transgender Day Of Remembrance

Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Gay and Lesbian Straight Alliance, invited Aiden Kivisto as a guest speaker to make a presentation regarding International Transgender Day Of Remembrance.
The presentation took place in the school library Monday November 21, the day after the official Day of Remembrance.
Aiden, a local activist and a consultant in the LGBTQ Community in Thunder Bay, highlighted the accomplishments and at the same time the challenges that the transgender community face in our city.
Following the presentation, students were able to ask questions and receive further information about the topic.
