Westgate Safe Space

Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute is one step close to the realization of the development of a Safe Space or “Chill Room” for students.
On Friday, June 5, representatives from the Children’s Centre of Thunder Bay, in partnership with Bell Canada, will be presenting a cheque to the school to create the safe space. Westgate raised $1,000 and was matched by the two organizations.
The space is a wellness room for students to go who need to decompress or who are struggling with their mental health.
