Kindergarten Registration Continues

Kindergarten registration for the 2020-21 school year continues at Lakehead Public Schools! Parents of students who will be four years of age on or before December 31 can still register their children online for this coming school year.
“We recognize that this is a very difficult period for our community and at the same time, there may be a number of parents who maybe concerned that they had not yet registered their child for kindergarten,” says AJ Keene, Superintendent of Education. “For the past number of years, we have provided online registration for kindergarten parents. That option continues to be available and we have added additional support for families to make the process as seamless as possible.”
Parents can visit the Lakehead Public Schools website at www.lakeheadschools.ca to register their child for the upcoming year. If parents have questions about the registration process or the kindergarten program, they can call 625-5283 or email kindie@lakeheadschools.ca.
“Our kindergarten classrooms are warm and inviting places where children and their families can feel welcomed,” says Keene. “The staff in all of our schools do an amazing job to ensure that our youngest students and their families feel like they truly belong.”
