Relay for Life

New Relay Location Pays Off!

First time success! A Relay for Life held on the grounds of Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute on Friday, June 7 raised close to $8,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. A cheque presentation will be made to representatives of the Canadian Cancer Society on Thursday, June 20.
“We are extremely proud of the funds that this first time event raised to support the efforts of the Canadian Cancer Society,” says Ryan McDonnell, Vice Principal at Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute. “We look forward to continuing this event in coming years to raise more funds and awareness to help fight cancer.”
This was the first time that the Relay for Life was held at Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute. The event raised thousands of dollars for the Canadian Cancer Society in previous events held at Sir Winston Churchill Collegiate and Vocational Institute Relay.
