Registration and Call for Presenters: “LIT”erally Lakehead Literacy Conference, on August 22, 2025 at Superior CVI 

We are thrilled to announce that our keynote speaker will be Dr. Shelley Moore, an acclaimed educator and advocate for inclusive education. This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow together as a professional community.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION OPENS MAY 15th at 4:00pm

First 50 registrants receive a copy of Dr. Shelley Moore’s Book: “One without the Other:  Stories of Unity through Diversity and Inclusion.”

This one-day conference will bring together educators from across the region to explore, inspire, and elevate literacy practices from K–12. We are looking for sessions that reflect a wide range of topics including, but not limited to:

  • Early literacy and foundational skills
  • Culturally responsive and inclusive literacy instruction
  • Literacy across the curriculum (grades 7–12)
  • Using Data to Inform instruction 
  • Literacy interventions and supports
  • Using technology to enhance literacy teaching and learning

CALL FOR PRESENTERS

We are currently seeking passionate and innovative educators to share their expertise as presenters!

Whether you’re an experienced presenter or trying it for the first time, we encourage you to submit a proposal to share your work, strategies, and passion for literacy. Successful proposals will be notified by June 15th, 2025,
