Black Lives Matter

Black Lives Matter. Lakehead Public Schools stands in solidarity with Black communities.

In Canada there has been a history of racism and racial discrimination that still exists today. As an educational institution, we are committed to do our part to eliminate racial discrimination and promote safety, justice and equity. We strongly denounce racism in all its forms, including Anti-Black racism, Anti-Indigenous racism and racism against people of colour.

Lakehead Public Schools is committed to upholding human rights. With our students, staff and school communities, we work to eradicate discrimination based on race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, creed/religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and other grounds articulated in the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Everyone belongs at Lakehead Public Schools.
