Lakehead Public Schools Celebrating Grade 8 Success
Lakehead Public Schools is pleased to announce that 22 students have been chosen to receive the 2020 Grade 8 Award of Excellence. Due to COVID 19 gathering restrictions, this year’s Grade 8 Award of Excellence will be broadcast to the community via Facebook Live on the Lakehead Public Schools Facebook page on Thursday, June 11 at 7:00 p.m.
The Grade 8 Award of Excellence is presented by the Lakehead Public Schools Foundation in partnership with Lakehead Elementary Teachers of Ontario, Ontario Principals’ Council, and Lakehead Public Schools.
“The Grade 8 Award of Excellence is a very prestigious award and we look forward to celebrating and honouring the recipients every year,” says Erin Aylward, Principal of Ecole Gron Morgan Public School and Grade 8 Award of Excellence Committee member. “With the challenges imposed by COVID 19, we are still able to ensure that these remarkable Grade 8 students still receive the recognition that they so rightly deserve.”
