Celebrating the Red and White at Kingsway

A very special 50th birthday celebration was held at Kingsway Park Public School on Friday, February 13! The creation of the Canadian flag was celebrated on Friday in advance of its real birthday of Sunday, February 15. The Kingsway birthday party featured a Flag Day cake and special flag song to be sung by the entire school.
‘Students were encouraged to wear red and white for the day in honour of the fiftieth birthday of our flag,” says Darren Lentz, Principal of Kingsway Park Public School. “We celebrated the flag and all of the wonderful things that make our country a great place to live in.”
