Hold and Secure Lifted – Hammarskjold Remains Closed

The hold and secures that were in place as a precaution, have now been lifted at all schools. Hammarskjold remains closed for the day. More information will be communicated as it becomes available.

The hold and secures at all schools have been lifted with the exception of Algonquin Avenue Public School, Ecole Gron Morgan Public School and CD Howe Public School as a precaution. More information will be communicated as it becomes available.

All Lakehead Public Schools, elementary and secondary, are currently in a hold and secure. All students will continue the day in a safe learning environment.

Due to an anonymous threat received by Thunder Bay Police, Hammarskjold High School will be closed for the entire day today, Friday February 22. All efforts will be made to reopen on Monday, February 25. Students already picked up by the school bus will be returned home. Students without home keys will be dropped off at Superior CVI.
