Invitation to Attend Facility Partnership Meeting

Conseil Scolaire de district catholique des Aurores boréales, Lakehead District School Board, and Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board (the Boards) recognize that cooperative and collaborative relationships between school boards and community organizations are part of the foundation of a strong, vibrant and sustainable publicly-funded education system. Offering space in schools to partners can strengthen the role of schools in communities, provide a place for programs, and facilitate the coordination of, and improve access to services for students and the wider community.

Following the release of the Ministry of Education’s Community Planning and Partnerships Guideline in March 2015, the Boards have revised their Facility Partnership Policies to align with Ministry guidelines. Current and potential community partners are invited to attend a Facility Partnership meeting at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2016 in the Board Room at the Jim McCuaig Education Centre, 2135 Sills Street, Thunder Bay, ON. Please confirm your attendance by Thursday, January 7, 2016 to Eileen Haven at 625-5126 or ehaven@lakeheadschools.ca.
