Taylorpedia – The Safe Zone Pep Rally

Taylorpedia is hosting her first Pep Rally to promote her Safe Zone in schools. The Safe Zone is a Drop In Center for kids who have fallen victim to bullying or stressful situations. The Safe Zone is also focusing on helping the bully as well as curbing bullying behaviour.
The Pep Rally will take place on:
Thursday, May 4th at 2:00pm at Kingsway Public School located at 315 Empire Avenue.
During this event, we will be introducing the junior classes of Kingsway to the Child and Youth Workers who will be working in The Safe Zone. It will be a fun event with games and music. The Safe Zone was created by 11-year-old Taylor Gorrie who experienced bullying in 2016. Taylor has now reached out to help other students who have been in the same situation as her.
Taylorpedia has been in running for 2 years by promoting the positive side of Thunder Bay and posting them on her facebook page – www.facebook.com/taylorpedia. We are very excited to launch this new program in our community. Our main goal is to help kids in need. Bullying is a serious situation that takes places in our schools today, but if we all work together and find the proper help we can make a difference.
