Never mind the Olympics, we have our own track stars in our community to celebrate!
Congratulations to Hammarskjold High School students Jordan MacIntosh and Hannah Johnston! The pair returned home from the Legion National Youth Track and Field Championships held in Sainte Therese Quebec with some impressive hardware.
Jordan won Gold for the 1500 m and Bronze for the 3000 m.
Hannah earned Bronze in both the 1500 and 3000 m.
They also were named the Male and Female MVP for the Manitoba NW Ontario team. Jordan and Hannah both train with the Lakehead University Running Club.
