Westmount and Westgate are in Tune!

Students in the Westmount Public School Fine Arts Academy have been working with the Grade 11/12 music class at Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute. Westmount students have been paired up with Westgate students who play the same instrument.
Each week, the students focus on a different concept – sound production, dynamic control, notation, etc. Having the focused small group time is beneficial to all students. The younger students …will become stronger musicians and the older students solidify their performing while learning the basics about teaching.
The students will have a combined concert this Spring at Westmount Public School.
