The Transportation Program at Hammarskjold High School is the proud recipient of three Hyosung GT250 sport bikes donated by the Motorcycle Safety Training Organization – North Western Ontario (MSTO-NWO) and Excalibur Motorcycle Works. The MTSO provides motorcycle rider safety training for Northwestern Ontario. A unit in the Transportation Program will be developed to utilize the three motorcycles.
“We are very excited and grateful for this donation and the opportunities that will be made available to our students as they gain valuable experience in motorcycle mechanics,” says Derek DiBlasio, Principal of Hammarskjold High School.
Students will be completing a variety of motorcycle related jobs including:
• mounting tires
• servicing brakes
• servicing suspension
• adjusting chain tension
• setting valves
• cleaning fuel systems
• clutch replacement
• engine rebuilding
