Enter the Den Winners Announced

Entrepreneurship lives in our youth! On Wednesday May 10, Waverley Library hosted a special event where six finalists competed in front of five judges for first, second and third place cash prizes for their business idea.

“This was not an easy decision as all the business were well thought out and could be start in the future” was a comment by one of the judges.

Enter the Den is a business writing plan competition for Thunder Bay high school students inspired by the popular Canadian TV show, the Dragon’s Den. Enter the Den is a gentler version of the format with practical feedback to every participant. This is the 6th year of the competition.

First place wins $1500, 2nd place $1000 3rd $500

1st Place

2nd Place – Best Friend’s Treats by Benjamin Bryson of Sir Winston Churchill Collegiate and Vocational Institute

3rd Place – Greybirds Ice Cream Castle by Miguel Quequish of Dennis Franklin Cromarty
