Hammarskjold CSI

Dexter Morgan won’t be attending, but members of the Thunder Bay Police Services Forensics Unit will be at Hammarskjold High School on Wednesday, December 8. The officers will be teaching students in a Grade 11 math class to use their knowledge of trigonometry, quadratics and measurement to perform blood spatter analysis.

“Students will learn the science behind the analysis, how to carry it out and then they will perform their own analysis while getting feedback from their peers along the way,” says Jason Pilot, Secondary Resource Teacher. “This is an exciting opportunity for experiential learning for the students and an excellent opportunity for Thunder Bay Police Services to connect with students.”
