International Student Program

MLI Homestay and Lakehead Public Schools invite you to a virtual learning session all about hosting an International student in Thunder Bay. Students are studying in Thunder Bay at Superior, Hammarskjold, and Westgate High Schools for 4-10 months and need a caring host family while they study. Hosts are compensated! We have students coming from all over the world for 2024-25. Hosts gain an unforgettable opportunity of learning a new culture and an international experience. The requirements are 3 meals a day, a private room with a door, a window, a bed and a desk, and including the student in your family home life. Hosts are compensated to offset costs, tax-free. Now is your chance to welcome in a student from Europe, Latin America, or South East Asia!
