Youth Empowerment, Activism & Volunteerism
On Tuesday, March 26, secondary school student leaders from will be attending the Engaging Youth Empowerment, Activism & Volunteerism Information Conference. The conference will provide an opportunity for the participating students to learn from community leaders about how they can become involved in the community.
“The need for this type of conference was identified by Student Trustee Jaimi Plater,” says Jeff Upton, Education Officer. “It’s a great opportunity for students to hear and learn from those who have travelled the pathway regarding engagement, empowerment, activism and volunteerism.”
