The Ontario Federation of Home and School is an organization which is multi-leveled – national, provincial, regional and local. The local branch is The Lakehead Council of Home and School.

The Lakehead Council of Home and School is an independent , non-profit organization with charitable status. The Council advocates for youth in public education at home and school.

The Lakehead Council of Home and School Facts

• The council raises and controls their funds
• Members attend provincial conferences on education
• Council meetings are run using Roberts Rules of Order
• The council sets policy and democratically votes on policy

Various Lakehead Public Schools elementary schools and one secondary school have a Home and School.
