Seeing Pink Tigers at Westgate

Don’t be concerned if you see pink Tigers at Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute during the week of October 13! The student athletes and coaches will be sporting pink throughout the week at all home games in support of cancer research. Donations will be accepted at the gate of each home basketball, volleyball and the senior football game during this week. All funds collected will go to the Northern Cancer Research Fund.

“In addition to their usual orange and black Westgate uniforms, our players will show their support for this important effort by wearing pink socks, headbands and warm-up shirts,” says David McCallum, Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute Athletic Director/Coach. “In addition, we will be asking our fans to show their support by wearing pink. Of course, the fans are also more than welcome to wear orange and black too!”
